The Bach Nutbag Blogger on Ryan Seacrest
Ryan Seacrest interviewed Jenna the Nutbag Blogger, who said Courtney has a "serious case of Jekyll and Hyde!" At least she says she's in a good place now and is able to laugh about the whole thing. I'm not sure I'd be so brave after the entire country has been making fun of me for the past 2 weeks.
Here's her interview. Doesn't she look so cute and normal here?

The Bach's grandma
How sad... The Bach hasn't told his grandma the outcome of the show! Ben's grandma Jean Hill did an interview with the New Haven Register and said: “He can’t say anything about it... But I will say, he just seems happy to me. So I think maybe he found someone. I can’t wait to find out.”
Cute grandma has people over on Mondays to watch her grandson on TV. I bet it's really fun for her to watch the make out scenes. But she seems to have a positive attitude about the experience. “It’s opened him up so much," she said. "He’s gotten to travel and have a lot of good experiences. He seems very happy to me. And if he finds love — that’s all I want for him. He’s ready, and he’s a good man.”
Can someone send the Register a tripod?

The Bach on Jimmy Kimmel
Kind of interesting to think that Ben really doesn't know what goes on in the house when he's not looking. I wonder if after watching the episodes he has doubts about his decision...
The Bach Jan. 9 favorites
Favorite girl:
Still Kacie! Their 1:1 was so sweet and it seemed like Ben really enjoyed being with her. Baton twirling and all.
Favorite ridiculously premature statement:
"I think I have found what could be a lifetime of love with Ben." -Kacie, after knowing Ben for approximately 5 days.
Favorite catty line:
"How'd that taste coming out of your mouth?" -Courtney to Kacie after reading the date card. She seems awful, so why does Ben really seems to dig her?
Favorite photo I found online:

Favorite heart-wrenching moment:
Jennifer's real, sad tears after seeing Ben mack down with Boobsley, shortly after they shared a seemingly sweet moment and make out sesh in the hot tub. Dumb move Ben! Jennifer is really pretty and seems so cool!
Favorite Ben moment:
Covering Scotch with the blanket. Aaaaawwwww. Sidenote: did you know Courtney is a model?
Favorite nail polish:
Jenna's ONE white nail. I need to find a picture of this.
Favorite WTF is wrong with you moment:
HOW is it possible that a professional blogger can never form a complete sentence?

I feel like I'm a guy in how I act, and being around girls is abnormal for me... I might appear as if I'm not... It's hard, like, there's only you. Waiting around for you, it's totally worth it, but I'm not a good girl.

The Bach flashback: Jesse and Jessica
Looking back at all 15 previous Bach seasons, I think Jesse Palmer’s might actually be the most dramatic of them all! Chris Harrison should have retired that phrase when the season ended on May 19, 2004.
There was the token villain (remember Trish and her gold digger T shirts?); an actual house spy in the form of his buddy’s wife (Jenny, who kissed Jesse on the lips, causing a little drama of her own); Jesse calling out the name “Katie” instead of “Karen” during a rose ceremony (OOPS!); and runner-up Tara, who was not shy about telling Jesse that his actions with her on their last day were “inappropriate” since he ended up with another girl. Hmmm, I wonder what that meant.Jesse ended up giving Jessica Bowlin, a 22-year-old blondie from Huntington Beach, the final rose and… a one-way ticket to join in him New York, where he was back-up QB for the Giants at the time. No engagement — not even a promise ring a la the Bach before him, Bob Guiney. Just a plane ticket that she ended up not even using. She decided to stay put in HB and finish law school (good girl!) and less a month later the couple announced their break up, making the Bach relationship record 0 for 5.
But the most dramatic (and awkward) part of the season was the final rose ceremony. My Bach girls and I were holding our breath as the first limo pulled up, Chris opened the door and out walks… JESSICA! This means he chose Tara, right? Doesn’t the first girl get dumped and spend the rest of her day crying in a limo and packing up her formalwear? Not this season. Jesse shocked America by telling Jessica that she’s the one (kind of) and then dismissing her to watch from a window above (see 2:15 in the video clip below) as he dumps sad-eye Tara for good.
Top that, Ben!

The Bach is a "warm gentleman"...?
...as opposed to a cool jackass? Oh Ames! You're such a nice, proper, smart, weird guy.
The Bach frontrunner: before the show
Check out this Access Hollywood video of Courtney before filming started. Hey, did you guys know she's a model? And she travels? Oh! And she loves Ben's hair. Her personality is DYNAMIC.
(at least her sister sounds really cool)

The Bach on Jimmy Kimmel this Monday
Set your DVRs! The Bach will be on Jimmy Kimmel this Monday night, Jan. 9 at midnight (ABC, of course). Jimmy's interviews with The Bach of the moment are always hilarious. I think he's a secret super-fan, pretending to be a hater because it's cool. Whatever, Jimmy... we know you love The Bach too.
Here's a clip of Jimmy showing a clip of Brittany's grandma sticking her finger in a hole.

The Bach girls video cutdown
To learn just enough information to judge The Bach girls on, take a look at New York Magazine's video cutdown of all their introductions in one sentence or less. So funny!

The Bach at his lowest
This morning I took a look back at last season's finale (rejection) in what ultimately got him his spot as the next Bach. Aside from the horrific hair, it reminded me about the things I really do like about him:
P.S. How sad/mean that they put him in that little boat and drove him across the ocean while Ashley watched!
- He seems to tell it like it is and drops appropriate f bombs ("I don't know what the f*ck just happened")
- He uses proper grammar ("good things don't end unless they end badly")
- He didn't try to fake his sadness and anger with Ashley, but still handled himself respectably
- He's a romantic ("you read fairy tales, you never think you'll be a part of one. that's exactly what this is - a fairy tale")
- He loves his family. (sooo heartbreaking when he says "I lost one [my dad] 4 1/2 years ago and I gain one today")
Let's hope we get to love him even more this season and he doesn't turn out to be a beyotch like most of the others. We need a good Bach for once! I have faith!
Below is the clip. What do you guys think - Love him? Tolerate him? Can't take the hair and boycotting the season?

The Bach hair police
Last season, I was Team JP all the way for a few reasons: he seemed to genuinely love Ashley, was a super cutie pie, had a killer smile and oh ya: I hated Ben’s hair. I couldn’t take it - the frizz! The layers! The mid-season haircut!
Check out 0:42 for some brief insight into how The Bach gets his hair looking so luscious and sexy:
During his proposal, all I could think about was how ugly his hair looked and no wonder she said no. When they brought him out during After the Final Rose to introduce the new Bach to the world, I was hoping the producers had given his hair some professional love. But instead, they just turned the flat iron up too high.
This season, I’m going to try my hardest to look past the hair. Although the Bach does resemble one of the cavemen from the Geico commercials (thanks Joe), I won’t let that get to me. I’m actually happy that the Bach isn’t a muscly douche like Brad, Jake or Travis and seems to be more of a “normal” guy who loves wine and his dog. And really, would a haircut help his cause?
(I always laugh at the thought of the people who edit these corny YouTube videos of reality studs and showmances, but then I realized I just created a Bach blog and who am I to judge?)
Oh! And MAJOR bonus points for The Bach's dirty sense of humor. I love it. ABC hates it and removed most of these from the world wide web, so view it here while it lasts:

Yes, I really do like The Bach
I watch The Bach (and I actually call it that, too). I'm not ashamed. I've watched every season since Andrew Firestone, with the exception of Prince Lorenzo (greasy hair) and Matt Grant (couldn't do the accent).
A group of us have been watching together for eight years now - taking turns hosting Bach parties on Monday nights, betting in Bachelor pools and trying to predict the winner based on the preview shot of the girl getting out of the limo's shoes/hair/dress. The die hards even attended a taping or two of After the Final Rose. It's harder now to get together each week (way to go jobs, school, babies, husbands and buying houses in other cities for interfering with our viewing schedule), but the love is still alive and I'm going to write about it.
YES I KNOW: The Bach is fake, corny, pointless, the relationships don't last, what's the point, and you can't believe such a cool, smart girl like me wastes time on this crap. I get it, and I don't care. I just love to watch. And if you do too, then follow my blog for weekly commentary and all things BACH. And I promise: no spoilers! That's what Reality Steve is for (poor guy).
Here's some stuff to help you prepare for Monday's premiere:

| WTF? |
- Bachelor Ben Trivia (I failed! But in my defense, I was in school during Ashley's season and had to miss quite a few episodes)
- Love that ABC posted video of the girls' auditions. I don't remember ever seeing this before. Based off this, Emily is my early fave.
- Cute article by Lincee Ray about some of the Bachelorettes
- An engaged couple blogging about The Bach! I love it. I think more guys out there are watching than will admit...
- Bare butt
...and my fave promo:
